Musings 1 - Inner Calm

Inner Calm©

Chris Kemple 2005

Synaptic meanderings through  familiar cerebral  haunts of mine,

Seeking inspiration, for some hallowed light to shine.

Hoped for escape from the Escher like convoluted rantings of the confused, neurotic me

But all I found were schizoid remnant demons hiding, huddled,  in stubborn duplicity.......

Musings 2 - Desert of Hope

The Desert of Hope

The desert was filled with broken hearts for many had journeyed there.

The swollen, bloodied, stricken defeated ones  knew there was no other place to go.

Each, a reluctant traveler, on a journey of inevitable, loveless certainty.

Although the path was not found on any map it was full of the wailing wanderers .

For the path reached everywhere that Sorrows heart was lost.

Shattered dreams had carried them to this place of apparent Hope.

Each Soul, aching in it’s own aloneness searched, looking for the truest broken heart .

The resonant heart that would recognise Hurt’s harmonious beating........

Musings 3 - Samsara

SAMSARA©

Chris Kemple 2007

Pause now for a breath of Life's diminishing elixir

Standing on the bittersweet threshold of everlasting life and inevitable death. One last look back. Pause to gaze upon the path strewn with cast off unborn dreams. Look back so that the Eye sees not the future

Look, from the vantage point of the undeniable present, vision obscured only by the tormenting veils of confusion.

Strewn helpless, souls stripped of all dignity, living in tear stained remembrance of something vague, an intangible flickering light of a long forgotten Joy.

Weary of the familiar treaded and retreaded path.
